The Sihga GleitFix AE made of Sihgamid, a glass-fiber reinforced plastic, allows for the invisible fastening of starter and end boards on wooden decks. Its low installed height provides structural timber protection, reduces cracking, and ensures a stable, long-lasting connection. Suitable for various board widths as well as timber and aluminum sub-structures.

To apply wood oil or wax, we recommend that you first clean and sand the surface thoroughly. Then apply the oil or wax evenly with a brush or cloth and allow it to absorb. Excess material should be wiped off. Detailed instructions can be found in the respective product descriptions.

Are your products environmentally friendly?

On the respective product pages, you will find specific information for each individual product, such as its composition (e.g., oils based on linseed oil and other vegetable oils), solvent-free formulations, or the EMICODE EC1 (“very low emission”) classification from the GEV. Which of these features apply varies from product to product and is indicated individually there.

The frequency of maintenance depends on usage and weather conditions. As a rule, we recommend cleaning and re-oiling wooden decks and furniture at least once a year to keep them in top condition.
