Care & Protection for Hardwoods Outdoors

PNZ Massaranduba Oil protects and nourishes tropical and hardwoods such as Massaranduba, Garapa, or Ipé against weathering, UV radiation, and graying. The weather-resistant formula containing plant oils and pigments refreshes the wood tone and supports the preservation of the characteristic wood color.

Processing & Application

  • Preparation – keep surface clean, dry & grease-free
  • Weathering – allow fresh tropical wood to weather for approx. 3 months
  • Application – stir oil well & apply thinly and evenly
  • Excess – remove with a cloth after a short absorption time
  • Drying – approx. 12 hrs, depending on weather
  • Recoatable – after approx. 12 hrs once dry to the touch
  • Number of coats – 2–3 coats recommended
  • Maintenance – refresh 1–2 times annually depending on weathering

To apply wood oil or wax, we recommend that you first clean and sand the surface thoroughly. Then apply the oil or wax evenly with a brush or cloth and allow it to absorb. Excess material should be wiped off. Detailed instructions can be found in the respective product descriptions.

Are your products environmentally friendly?

On the respective product pages, you will find specific information for each individual product, such as its composition (e.g., oils based on linseed oil and other vegetable oils), solvent-free formulations, or the EMICODE EC1 (“very low emission”) classification from the GEV. Which of these features apply varies from product to product and is indicated individually there.

The frequency of maintenance depends on usage and weather conditions. As a rule, we recommend cleaning and re-oiling wooden decks and furniture at least once a year to keep them in top condition.

For stubborn stains or discoloration, we offer special cleaning and care products, such as tannin stain removers and intensive cleaners. These products are specially formulated to remove even the most difficult stains.
