Suitable for: Treatment of wood, plaster, masonry and clinker surfaces. As a natural means of protecting wood, evolution linseed oil varnish offers a durable, open-pored coating for all of the materials mentioned. The pure, resin-free, non-toxic product creates an impregnating film and highlights the wood grain. Application/processing: - The surface must be clean, free of grease and dry. - Processing temperature (including drying) from + 8 °C. Wood moisture not more than 18%. Air humidity < 60%. - Drying time 12 - 36 hours (depending on the degree of dilution). - Apply the coats sparingly. - For exterior painting, pigmentation (addition of color) is required to ensure protection against graying. - For soft woods (risk of fungus) outdoors, pre-treat with a suitable impregnating primer before the first coat. On wood: Apply evolution linseed oil varnish undiluted with a brush or cloth. After about 30 minutes, remove the excess material with a lint-free cloth (not for exterior paintwork). For exterior paintwork, multiple applications are necessary: 1st coat: 50% thinner (intermediate sanding after drying); 2nd coat: approx. 30% thinner; 3rd coat: approx. 10% thinner; avoid the formation of layers. On plaster, masonry, clinker: apply linseed oil varnish evolution diluted 1:1 to the substrate with a suitable thinner. Consumption: approx. 50 - 70 ml/m², i.e. 1 litre of linseed oil varnish evolution is sufficient for approx. 15 m² per application, depending on the type of wood and surface (planed or rough sawn). Consumption may increase for grooved wood (factor 2 - 3). Lower consumption affects the durability of the paintwork Cleaning: Clean brushes and painting tools with thinner or turpentine substitute immediately after use. Storage: Cool, but frost-free.
