Care with beeswax and plant waxes

PNZ Beeswax Balsam protects and refines wooden ceilings, paneling, shelves, and furniture in interior areas. The combination of beeswax, carnauba wax, and candelilla wax provides an open-pored, abrasion-resistant surface and protects against moisture and dirt. The product has an antistatic effect and restores shine to dull surfaces.

Processing & Application

  • Preparation – keep surface clean & dry
  • Test coat – check effect & gloss level
  • Application – apply thinly & evenly with a cloth or brush
  • Wipe off – remove excess after 15–30 min.
  • Polishing – polish in the direction of the grain after 3–4 hours
  • Second coat – repeat if necessary for a richer finish
  • Drying – usable after a few hours depending on temperature

To apply wood oil or wax, we recommend that you first clean and sand the surface thoroughly. Then apply the oil or wax evenly with a brush or cloth and allow it to absorb. Excess material should be wiped off. Detailed instructions can be found in the respective product descriptions.

Are your products environmentally friendly?

On the respective product pages, you will find specific information for each individual product, such as its composition (e.g., oils based on linseed oil and other vegetable oils), solvent-free formulations, or the EMICODE EC1 (“very low emission”) classification from the GEV. Which of these features apply varies from product to product and is indicated individually there.

The frequency of maintenance depends on usage and weather conditions. As a rule, we recommend cleaning and re-oiling wooden decks and furniture at least once a year to keep them in top condition.

What do I do if there are stubborn stains or discolorations on the wood?

For stubborn stains or discoloration, we offer special cleaning and care products, such as tannin stain removers and intensive cleaners. These products are specially formulated to remove even the most difficult stains.

Can I use your products on other materials?

How long does it take for the products to dry?
