Protection & Care for Tropical Woods

PNZ Bangkirai Oil provides UV and weather protection for suitable exotic woods in outdoor areas. The formula containing vegetable oils nourishes the wood, protects against drying out, and counteracts graying. The visible wood color and structure are preserved – ideal for wooden decks and garden furniture.

Processing & Application

  • Preparation – keep the surface clean, dry & free of dust
  • Weathering – allow fresh wood to weather for 4–12 weeks
  • Application – stir oil well & apply thinly and evenly
  • Film formation – avoid, remove excess oil
  • Drying – at least 12 hours (depending on weather)
  • Second coat – reapply thinly after 12 hours
  • Number of coats – 2–3 coats recommended
  • Test application – recommended due to varying wood species

To apply wood oil or wax, we recommend that you first clean and sand the surface thoroughly. Then apply the oil or wax evenly with a brush or cloth and allow it to absorb. Excess material should be wiped off. Detailed instructions can be found in the respective product descriptions.

Are your products environmentally friendly?

On the respective product pages, you will find specific information for each individual product, such as its composition (e.g., oils based on linseed oil and other vegetable oils), solvent-free formulations, or the EMICODE EC1 (“very low emission”) classification from the GEV. Which of these features apply varies from product to product and is indicated individually there.

The frequency of maintenance depends on usage and weather conditions. As a rule, we recommend cleaning and re-oiling wooden decks and furniture at least once a year to keep them in top condition.

What do I do if there are stubborn stains or discolorations on the wood?

For stubborn stains or discoloration, we offer special cleaning and care products, such as tannin stain removers and intensive cleaners. These products are specially formulated to remove even the most difficult stains.

Can I use your products on other materials?

How long does it take for the products to dry?
