Traditional Care for Furniture & Wood Objects

PNZ Antique Wax is manufactured according to a traditional recipe and is suitable for the care, restoration, and refreshment of antique furniture, carvings, picture frames, and untreated interior wood. The wax combination has an antistatic and moisture-repellent effect and supports the preservation of the visible wood grain.

Processing & Application

  • Preparation – keep wood dry, clean & free of grease
  • Test application – check effect & color tone
  • Application – thin & even with a cloth or brush
  • Working in – massage in well; warm slightly for deep saturation
  • Drying – polish the surface after complete drying
  • Polishing – bring to a shine with a cloth or brush in the direction of the grain
  • Second coat – repeat for highly absorbent wood

How do I apply wood oil or wax correctly?

To apply wood oil or wax, we recommend that you first clean and sand the surface thoroughly. Then apply the oil or wax evenly with a brush or cloth and allow it to absorb. Excess material should be wiped off. Detailed instructions can be found in the respective product descriptions.

Are your products environmentally friendly?

On the respective product pages, you will find specific information for each individual product, such as its composition (e.g., oils based on linseed oil and other vegetable oils), solvent-free formulations, or the EMICODE EC1 (“very low emission”) classification from the GEV. Which of these features apply varies from product to product and is indicated individually there.

The frequency of maintenance depends on usage and weather conditions. As a rule, we recommend cleaning and re-oiling wooden decks and furniture at least once a year to keep them in top condition.

For stubborn stains or discoloration, we offer special cleaning and care products, such as tannin stain removers and intensive cleaners. These products are specially formulated to remove even the most difficult stains.

How long does it take for the products to dry?
