The G² Decking Oil Bangkirai / Cumaru / Garapa is suitable for the care of wooden surfaces in outdoor areas. The pigmented color tone is intended specifically for Bangkirai, Cumaru, and Garapa and can be used, for example, for wooden terraces, wood decks, and garden furniture.

The pigmented formulation helps protect the wood from UV-related color changes. The decking oil is suitable both for the initial treatment of untreated wooden surfaces and for the subsequent maintenance of suitable, load-bearing surfaces.

Application

  • The surface must be clean, dust-free, and dry.
  • Allow woods with a high content of wood extracts to weather for approx. 4 weeks before the initial treatment.
  • Allow fresh pressure-impregnated wood as well as Massaranduba, Ipe, or Garapa to weather for approx. 3 months before the initial treatment.
  • Processing temperature including drying: above +8 °C.
  • Wood moisture maximum 18%, air humidity below 60%.
  • Perform a test coat before use and stir the oil well.
  • Apply the oil thinly and evenly, avoid film formation, and remove excess oil.
  • On untreated wood, two to three coats are intended, with approx. 12 hours of drying time in between each.

Consumption and yield

Consumption is approx. 50 ml/m² per coat. Depending on the type of wood and surface structure, one liter is sufficient for approximately 20 m² per coat. With grooved wood, consumption may increase.

The frequency of maintenance depends on usage and weather conditions. As a rule, we recommend cleaning and re-oiling wooden decks and furniture at least once a year to keep them in top condition.

What do I do if there are stubborn stains or discolorations on the wood?

For stubborn stains or discoloration, we offer special cleaning and care products, such as tannin stain removers and intensive cleaners. These products are specially formulated to remove even the most difficult stains.

Can I use your products on other materials?

Our products are specially formulated for wooden surfaces. For other materials, we recommend reading the product description carefully or contacting our customer service.

How long does it take for the products to dry?

Drying time varies depending on the product and ambient temperature. As a rule, wood oils and waxes require several hours to a full day to dry completely. For more detailed information, please refer to the respective product instructions.
